Goodbye Posterous – Hello WordPress

As you’ve already quickly figured out, I’m moving my blog today from Posterous to WordPress.

Don’t get me wrong — I still love Posterous, and still use it for about a half dozen other projects, either because these projects are:

Collaborative: because of how easily Posterous let’s a group collectively contribute to a common web site.

Amateurish: When I don’t really care what the posts look like or how well edited they are.

Easy: Since creating a post is as easily as emailing an article to it.

But at the same time, I was looking for the higher degree of control that WordPress would give me over how my blog looked and behaved.  I also love the widgets!
